The purpose of the project is to transform a garage into an home using the open space concept.
The priority was to optimizing, in a small space, the functionality of the furnishings aimed to obtain a high level of living comfort. onsidering the size and height of the ceiling, lower than the standard, we opted for a style focused more on modernity, preferring the use of clean, minimal and essential lines both for the works made in plasterboard and for what concerns the furniture design.
The chromatic game is made by the contrast between predominant and secondary colors: we have chosen white as the main color for the internal walls, with the aim of transmitting elegance, simplicity and harmony and making the environment particularly comfortable and refinedly modern, giving also brightness and a sense of breadth. For the flooring, we decided to use oak parquet, with the aim of “warming” the environment in contrast to the neutrality of classic white. Complementary to the two shades we have combined the Brave Ground, elected as the color of 2021. It is a neutral and warm nuance that invites you to leave the comfort zone with balance and awareness, as it allows a harmonious combination with the chosen furnishings.
The installation of plasterboards made it possible to divide the open space while the light design aimed at the use of recessed lighting, made it possible to obtain: a direct light emission (to make the spaces usable in a comfortable way) and indirectly light emission (to create soft and delicate light effects). Based on this lighting choice, the suspended lighting fixtures were added to differentiate the dining area from the snack area.
As for the furnishings, the choice fell on linear, simple elements with the same nuances as the walls. A total white kitchen, including two elements in wood (which recall the oak of the floor) and a magnetic glossy glass plate, make the environment even deeper. An important detail of the kitchen are the full-height doors that hide the access to a technical room, perfectly camouflaged in the composition.
Furnishing elements that make the environment even more unique and comfortable are:
